Helping Veterans and Surviving Spouses Receive In-Home Care with No Out-of-Pocket Costs.

Since 2003, our team has assisted families with the daunting application process for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Pension with Aid and Attendance. We offer expert guidance while simplifying the paperwork and helping them access the necessary documents. There is never any expense for our assistance in ensuring the application is submitted completely and accurately on the veteran or surviving spouse's behalf, resulting in a benefit that pays for in-home care with no out-of-pocket costs to them.

The VA can take up to 5 months to approve an application. By advancing the cost of care with our interest-free loan, the VetAssist client can begin receiving care during those months, resulting in care starting sooner and when they need it most.

VetAssist partners with Adult Visionary In-Home Services to ensure each Veteran and surviving spouse receives high-quality in-home care to assist with activities of daily living, allowing them to remain comfortably and safely in their home.

Each VetAssist client has a dedicated Client Care Specialist to help them maintain compliance, and to coordinate their care.

Minimum 90 days active duty, with at least one day during wartime, and an honorable discharge. Gulf War veterans must have served active duty for 2 years, or the full period for which they were called for active duty.

Non service-connected disability which requires assistance with activities of daily living.

For Surviving Spouses: Additional marital requirements apply.

A net worth (assets) at or less than $163,700. (As of December 1, 2025)

A primary residence and auto are not counted as part of net worth. Income limits also apply – ongoing, unreimbursed medical and long-term care expenses may reduce income.
